*Recipe* Cleansing Simmer Pot
With a new month now here, it’s time to cleanse our space! Now, I’m a huge fan of saging, burning incense and doing anything and everything I possibly can to keep positive energy in my space. A lot of that has to do with both living and working in my home. When you don’t have that division between your work life and personal life, a lot of the energy can transfer. So, something I like to do at the beginning of each month is create a cleansing simmer pot. Not only does it promote positivity, it also smells amazing. Check out the cleansing simmer pot recipe below!
Cleansing Simmer Pot Recipe
What you’ll need:
A large pot filled with water
Salt
1 - 2 lemons
Rosemary (fresh or dried)
Lavender (fresh or dried)
3 - 5 cinnamon sticks
What to do:
Set your large water-filled pot on the stove top and set to medium heat.
As the water is heating, slice your lemons.
Add a healthy heaping of salt to the pot.
Following the salt, add the lemon slices, rosemary, lavender, and cinnamon sticks.
Once the pot begins to boil, stir clockwise and state your intention for the month.
Decrease the heat to your lowest setting and leave it on throughout the day. Don’t forget to keep adding water!
